I’m currently at a women’s event at church called the IF:  Gathering (at lunch, don’t worry), and I am learning a lot about God but also who I am in God. We always seem to think about the person of Jesus as someone who gives peace, but it’s more than that…..Jesus is peace. This is why he is called the Prince of Peace. One of the biggest pieces that hit me is that we scream at God when we are scared or in the middle of the storm, but really, we should be turning to the enemy and screaming at him that God is in control. God is the one who can give us peace when our lives, relationships, work, and families are in turmoil. God can take these storms and make something beautiful from them. He can redeem any story. God will give us the peace we need if we relinquish ourselves and our circumstances to Him. Step out in faith, give God your broken pieces, the parts of you that you think are ugly or unreedemable can be made beautiful. Words of wisdom from lunch!
