Our daughter ended up in the dish drain. I walked into the kitchen and found her on the counter sitting in the dish drainer. Honestly, my first thought was that she had watched Beauty and the Beast way too much and decided she’s a tea cup. I snapped a picture before taking her out and reminding her we do not climb on counters, and as I shared what she did with our families, I found myself wondering, does God ever feel this way? Does he ever watch what we are doing and laugh a little? Does God ever sigh and think, “I have told you so many times not to do that, when will you listen?”. If we can have so much love for our children, how much more could God have for us? I mean, he gave his only son in exchange for us. That’s the ultimate sign of love, right? It wasn’t until I became a mother that I began to understand the love God has for his children. It is awe inspiring and humbling to be so loved by the creator of heaven and earth. I am grateful for his love and grace each morning.
