My husband and I have a lot of interesting conversations. The most recent happens to be regarding a visit to our local Meijer. I was shopping for wrinkle cream (in all fairness, I will be 32 in September), so I wanted to take care of my skin. My husband, in his infinite wisdom, recommended using Preparation H in order to fight off under eye puffiness. As we were debating the ridiculousness of hemroid cream on my face, a woman in the same aisle as us was laughing with her daughter. When they walked past, they mentioned that we seemed fun together. What’s funny is we get that a lot when we are in public together. My husband and I have a tendency to find fun in the mundane parts of life. One of the best parts of our marriage is the ability to enjoy time together no matter what we are doing. We can turn any task into an adventure. Mark is more than my husband. He’s my best friend, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with him. I’m not saying that we are perfect. Actually, we do argue like any other couple, but that’s part of marriage. The key to marriage is being a team, willing to compromise, and accepting when you’re wrong and apologizing. Fighting is normal, but it’s what you do during the fight, and after that matters. Grace covers a multitude of sins, and so does love. I can’t imagine my life without my husband, even if he expects me to use hemroid cream under my eyes.
