Our beautiful, kind, smart little girl is always on the go. She is someone who sees an opportunity, develops a goal, a plan, and off she goes. Recently, at church, she found a couple opportunities. Last Sunday, our little love found a connection between her class and another. This connection was used to bring new friends from one room to another. She also, after constant observation, figured out how to play music on the computer. As a parent, I was mortified to find that my daughter was doing these things in her Sunday School class, but the amount of grace and praise heaped upon her by the room leaders, as well as our children’s pastor, made me realize that everyone else there saw the good qualities too. They know that our girl is kind and will help anyone who is sad in the room with a hug. She shares toys and walks away when someone else wants what she has. She is also a leader and very charismatic. As her mother, one of the hardest decisions to make when raising this little Napoleon is how to encourage her determination without letting it overrun others. Guiding her on using her stubbornness, but also knowing when it is time to yield. I have spent a great deal of my life fighting these very battles, I struggled a lot on not being stubborn just to be right. What I have learned, in the last few years, is to give everything to God and wait on His timing. My little rebel is prayed for multiple times a day, prayed with too. God has blessed her with a strong personality, and I cannot wait to see what He guides our baby to.
